Bottle Theory | Chicago Suburban Beer Drinkers Rejoice, the New “It” Bottle Shop Has Arrived
A little something different today. Something wonderful has arrived in Elmhurst and it’s time R&B finally spilled the beer about it. This past week, Bottle Theory, the area's newest drinking establishment (with a full service taqueria) officially turned on the lights and opened their doors. Located smack in the middle of Spring Road, Bottle Theory, gives us Elmhurstians (is that what we're called?) what we’ve longed for...

1st Visit to 2nd Shift – Working Hard on the Weekend
“On the road again, going places that I’ve never been, seein’ things I may never see again, and I can’t wait to get back on the road again”. Well, maybe not the last part Willie; brewery hopping can be pretty exhausting… The sentiment is totally there, though. Hanging Out at the Old Bakery in Alton
My first brewery for the brew blog sent Jeff and I all the way to Southern Illinois – Alton to be exact. I picked The Old Bakery Beer Company since Jeff and I were going to be down south to celebrate a family member’s engagement. I mean how many opportunities to choose a brewery 5 hours away will I get? And luckily for me, my first brewery was gold! Old Bakery is next to the Mississippi River, right before you get into Grafton (another location you should check out). The brewery has a cute little patio outside of the entrance, but since that day was scorching hot, we chose…
